Outcomes of Parliamentary Elections
On March 18, IATP access sites in Kant, Isfana, Jalalabat, Naryn,
Kara-Balta, Karakol, Kerben, Talas, Balykchy, Osh, Mayluu-Suu, and Batken,
Kyrgyzstan, hosted an online discussion on the Kyrgyzstani parliamentary
elections for nearly 30 participants, including alumni of US government-sponsored
exchange programs, local media representatives, and observers from local
and international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). More

Alumni Discuss Armenia 2020 Project Online
On March 29, the IATP office in Yerevan held an online event on the Strategic
Development of Armenia and the Armenia 2020 project (www.armenia2020.org).
Armenia 2020 is a scenario-building initiative that focuses on the study
of development models for the Republic of Armenia until the year 2020.
The project was represented by Artashes Kazakhetsyan, the project’s
director, and by Anush Hovsepyan (FLEX 96, Muskie 04), the project’s
public relations officer. The event was organized to contribute to alumni
awareness about the project, its goals and future activities, as well
as to create a wider, shared view of possibilities and future development
of Armenia while identifying ways for alumni to become a part of this
grand initiative. More

Lawyer Conducts Online Course on Consumer Rights Protection in
Moldova
During the second half of March, four new online students registered
for a second round of a distance learning (DL) course created by IATP
DL Consultant Vadim Vasiliev, a lawyer for the Astra Association for Consumer
Rights Protection in Chisinau, Moldova. More
