Kickoff Media-NGO workshop

Name: Media’s Role in Civil Society
Amount: £502
This project, conducted by two Media trainees, will address disconnect between Yemeni NGOs and their target audiences. The team recognized that many development services fall short of their potential impact in Yemen as NGOs fail to reach a significant percentage of their intended audiences. In light of such shortcomings, the project will help NGOs promote their activities and services. Recently, trainees held a workshop attended by 34 NGO and media representatives on Activating the Role of Media: Highlighting Civil Society Organizations. The workshop was held at the Yemen Times building and led by professional trainer, Mr. Nashawan Al- Someri. Participants received certification for their attendance.
