Jennifer Fox
Jennifer provides vision and leadership as the project director on the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program, an entrepreneurship focused program that builds skills and networks for business and social enterprise leaders from Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Under her leadership, the program has built new partnerships with academic, nonprofit, and impact-investing funds to support business leaders.
Jennifer has extensive experience managing and implementing international education and development programs. Previously at IREX, Jennifer directed a nonprofit management scholarship program for civil society leaders from Latin America, and worked with the IREX Guatemala office to design and manage a multilayered secondary and higher education scholarship system for a USAID funded youth political leadership program.
Before joining IREX, Jennifer previously managed the U.S. and visiting Fulbright Scholar program in the Western Hemisphere and sub-Saharan Africa regions at the Institute of International Education. In this capacity, she led the recruitment strategy, advised and managed fellowships for researchers, teachers, and professionals, and promoted institutional development through university partnerships and specialized opportunities such as collaboration with the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program.
Jennifer is passionate about leadership development, extending access to education and professional opportunities, and building meaningful partnerships and networks. Jennifer has a bachelor of arts in history and spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has lived in the southern Caribbean.
