Amina is a PhD student in arts at the University Gaston Berger in Saint-Louis, Senegal. As a founding member of Bridge Kids Senegal, she has worked on projects that empower women and provide children with a brighter future since 2010. Bridge Kids Senegal is part of Bridge Kids International, a global non-profit organization helping young people of Africa and the African diaspora unleash their social entrepreneurial spirits to solve economic development, education, environmental, girls’ rights, and health challenges. Currently she works as translator, interpreter and editor for a joint venture, CreditInfo VoLo whose vision is to build financial inclusion in Africa. Amina has got strong skills in interpreting, translation, text editing, and local and international field trips management. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she plans to continue her work in community development with a focus on children’s education and the empowerment of less fortunate people.
