Sheila Mumbi Mulli has a dynamic and results-oriented academic and professional background; currently working on a project that aims to promote access to safe, affordable, convenient, and culturally appropriate recycled sanitary products for dealing with menstruation. As a Community Solutions Program Fellow, Mulli hopes to nurture and develop skills for local and global leadership, including the empowerment of young African women that will enable them to play a crucial and constructive role in the development of their communities and the world at large.

Upon returning to Kenya, Mulli intends to implement her follow-on project, which will include providing access to reusable sanitary pads and underwear for poor and vulnerable women and girls in rural and informal settlements in Kenya and training women on hygienic soap making that seeks to create employment for 100 women in rural Kenya.
