Gloria Silas Mangi
Founder and executive director of African Queens Project, Gloria Mangi is a creative technologist and activist who specializes in gender and media issues. During her fellowship in the U.S., Mangi hopes to learn innovative approaches to tackling gender issues, especially in relation to women’s health. She also hopes to develop her management and leadership skills.
Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Mangi intends to implement a program with a primary focus on supporting and supplementing special health-related activities and preventive programs for women and girls in rural areas. Mangi was named by Africa Viewpoint journal as one of the top 20 under 35 young African Changemakers in 2015 and by Google in 2013/2014 as one of the top 20 innovators in Africa.
