Corina Luminita Pirvulescu
Corina Pirvulescu has been engaged with civil society organizations – both as a volunteer and as a professional – for ten years, working on the design and implementation of policies and projects aiming to ensure and stimulate youth participation in decision-making processes at all levels in an effort to strengthen democracy and the role of civil society. Pirvulescu is co-founder and vice-president of Social DOers and works specifically on youth policy and youth work development, as well as processes of youth involvement in peace-building and conflict transformation. During her fellowship in U.S., she hopes to learn about effective methods and models of involving young people in decision-making processes and policy-shaping at all levels.
Upon her return, Pirvulescu plans to work on empowering young people, especially young women, to become leaders and change-makers at the local level through democratic participatory instruments.
