As a Trainer of Sri Lanka Unites Youth Movement for Peace and Reconciliation, Ishika Millaniyage supervises the Youth-Peace-building programs of the SLU Reconciliation Centre in Kamburupitiya, Sri Lanka. During her fellowship in the United States, Millaniyage hopes to learn new peace education, campaigning, and negotiation techniques that will enhance the quality and effectiveness of her training programs. She also hopes to learn crisis response methods and gain hands-on experience working on a diversity of peacebuilding projects.

Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Millaniyage plans to build a network of grassroots teenage peace activists through peace education training programs in rural national schools of Sri Lanka.
