Obaapanin Adu is the Senior Assistant Registrar of the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate at the University of Education- Winneba in Winneba, Ghana. Her role involves organizing training sessions and workshops on gender issues for staff and students; organizing workshops on assertiveness and confidence building for female gender scholarship recipients; coordinating the publication of the gender newsletter; and hosting a radio talk show to discuss pertinent issues on campus. Obaapanin is pursuing an Ed.D. in Education at the University of Sussex- Brighton in the United Kingdom. She holds a M.Sc. in Development Studies from the London South Bank University in the United Kingdom, and a diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism in Ghana. During her UASP fellowship, Obaapanin will be focusing on campus life/student services as it relates to campus policies and support services related to various forms of abuse, harassment, and gender issues.
