As a rural outreach coordinator for Impian Malaysia, Chen Le Leng has been working with local communities for over two years, primarily coordinating community development projects such as gravity-fed water systems, solar lights installations, jetty construction, as well as organizing medical camps. During her fellowship in the United States, Chen hopes to learn about sustainable energy and how it can be incorporated as part of social entrepreneurship, particularly as a platform for job opportunity among youth. Upon her return from the Community Solutions Program, Chen plans to set up workshops in villages for a sustainable energy project, where she will identify and train youth to build and manage energy systems in their own villages.
