Thao Le
As a Disaster Project Coordinator for Center of Live and Learn for Environment and Community and then for the Research and Communication Centre for Sustainable Development for nearly four years, Thao Le is responsible for managing disaster projects. This includes writing proposals, preparing work plans, budgets and reports, conducting field visits, developing disaster materials, providing trainings on disasters for teachers and networking with authorities and other organizations. During her fellowship in the United States at the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management, Thao Le hopes to expand her knowledge in disaster management and improve her facilitation and coaching skills in order for her to provide better trainings for teachers, students and volunteers on disaster education and management. Upon completion of the Community Solutions Program, she plans to improve disaster risk reduction knowledge and skills among youth groups, who will then deliver these knowledge and skills to children, teachers and communities in Vietnam.
