As a Political Affairs Officer of the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), Ankit Khanal develops and implements initiatives to mainstream knowledge management, researches and analyzes cross-cutting and emerging peace and security issues related to DPPA's conflict prevention and peacebuilding mandate, and conducts learning activities and policy development. While in the U.S., Khanal worked with Build a Movement in Washington D.C., where he built and managed relationships with staff in implementing partner organizations and supported the development of the M&E program. Khanal looks forward to working on a community level back in Nepal once his assignment with the UN is completed.
