Nilanga Roshan Samarawickrama
As the Program Director of Equality-Based Community Support And Training (ECSAT), Nilanga Roshan Samarawickrama leads project planning; policy making; fundraising; and networking locally, nationally, and internationally. While in the U.S., Samarawickrama worked with World Institute on Disability (WID) in California, where he liaised with their partners to raise awareness of his experiences working with the disability sector at the grassroots level in Sri Lanka, led presentations, and supported organizing a fundraising event. Since his return to Sri Lanka, Samarawickrama has focused his efforts on the Transforming Livelihoods and Lives of People with Disabilities project, a project that has impacted young adults with disabilities to start their own business and earn and income. He has also been working with the ECSAT Educational framework project funded by the Kindermission in Germany since 2015 and has been providing support for children with learning disabilities and difficulties in mainstream education.
