Yuliya Solovey brings over ten years of program management experience, five of which have been with IREX where she has assumed progressively greater responsibilities in several high-profile positions supporting large and complex field-based programs, including Acting Deputy Chief of Party for the $20.5 million USAID/Moldova-funded Comunitatea Mea program. Fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian, Yuliya also brings strong technical knowledge and skills in strengthening democratic local governance, improving organization performance, civil society strengthening, civic engagement, as well as increasing social cohesion and youth inclusion in post-conflict settings.  

Prior to joining IREX, Yuliya worked at the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation for four years overseeing programs dedicated to strengthening U.S.-Ukraine relations, conducting congressional outreach, managing humanitarian assistance programs, and building new initiatives. 

Yuliya graduated from American University’s School of International Service with a BA in international studies and a minor in economics with a concentration in international economic policy.
