As the Consultant of Witwen-und Waisenprojekte Nepal (WWPN), Angel Chitrakar liaises and represents WWPN to the Nepali government for coordination and implementation of various development projects, identifies and develops projects for various sectors, and monitors local partner organizations for implementing projects. While in the U.S., Chitrakar worked with Elevate Energy in Chicago, where he implemented an Urban Energy Efficiency program, researched energy efficiency technologies, and organized community meetings on household energy saving techniques. Since his return to Nepal, Chitrakar has focused his efforts on the Rural Educational Aid for Developing Children (READ Child) initiative that creates child-friendly educational environments and promoting menstrual hygiene education and reusable sanitary napkins in schools.
