Yasmine Ibrahim is the founder and General Manager of the Digital Museum of Women, a virtual and factual museum dedicated to researching, highlighting, and preserving women’s history, as well as to providing women of Egypt and the Arab world with the knowledge and tools to be empowered. Ibrahim was also recently selected by the Vital Voices organization to participate in the Women Lead 2015 global program. While in the U.S., Ibrahim worked at the International Museum of Women in San Francisco, working on the Muslim Women Art and Voices project, which aimed to address prejudice and stereotype against Muslim women around the globe. Following her fellowship, Ibrahim worked to launch an online forum to document, discuss and debate women’s participation in the Egyptian revolution and the challenges that confront women’s advancement in the region.
