As the Disaster Risk Management Specialist of UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic, Nazgul Sharshenova prepares materials for program documents and reports required for the purposes of annual planning, resource mobilization, and collaboration with partners and reports to donors, implementing partners, and the public. While in the U.S., Sharshenova worked with Kansas Water Office in Topeka, Kansas where she updated the monthly progress report and visited and studied the irrigation water management. Since her return to Kyrgyzstan, Sharshenova has established a water users association focused on gender-related issues through providing an equal gender approach in the distribution of irrigation water.
