Carol Chidothe
As the Executive Director for the Center for Women and Girls Empowerment, Carol empowers women and girls in her community through the establishment of girls’ clubs in secondary schools. These clubs mentor girls in career and leadership; health and personal hygiene; and science and innovation. Carol is an expert in project management and strategic planning, and has developed skills in organizational communication, time management, and creative thinking. During her fellowship in the United States, Carol hopes to learn advanced leadership skills, fundraising and financing methods, and techniques that U.S. organizations use to empower women and girls. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Carol plans to continue engaging local community leaders, parents, religious leaders, and partner organizations to combat childhood marriage and increase health and education for young girls.
