As an Operations Manager for TRAFFIC in Viet Nam, Huong ensures that the administration and financial accountability of the organization supports effective management of TRAFFIC’s programs. Huong has developed skills in financial management, human resources, and project administration and uses these skills to support small businesses and economically disadvantaged communities. During her fellowship in the United States, Huong hopes to learn how to secure participation of rural communities, to build capacity for local businesses, and to create direct market linkages between cooperatives in Vietnam, while also developing her skills in leadership, communication and fund raising. Upon returning to Vietnam, Huong plans to improve market opportunities and skills in sustainable harvesting practices in at least 1000 low income households in Vietnam.
