Kamba Anthony Joseph
As a Communications and Advocacy Coordinator for Plan International South Sudan, Kamba developed and implemented a communication strategy that advocates for the welfare of children during South Sudan’s man-made and natural disasters. Kamba is an expert in development of media content, strategic partnership analysis, and context analysis for humanitarian intervention. He has developed skills in public relations, community-centered project planning, and impact analysis. During his fellowship in the United States, Kamba hopes to learn about the art of influence, technology-driven implementation, and quick impact communication projects, while also developing his skills in donor engagement, crowdsourcing, and the application of the “Do No Harm” principle in conflict resolution. Upon returning to South Sudan, Kamba plans to register a non-governmental organization focused on youth development in agriculture with the aim of disengaging youth from the culture of violence.
