As the Technical Manager of Raising Voices, Ritah Kastar Akankwasa builds capacity and provides tailored onsite technical support to a variety of large and small organizations around the world  using SASA! - an evidence-based methodology to prevent violence against women. While in the U.S., Akankwasa worked with Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV) in Atlanta, GA, where she reviewed and provided critical input into the design of the women economic empowerment component, facilitated and supported the development of GCAVD's theory of change, and co-developed a domestic violence advocate tip sheet to support survivor centered service provisions. Since her return to Uganda, Akankwasa has focused her efforts on girl mentorship support to improve retention of girls in school in Southwestern Uganda.
