As a Lecturer for the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Thushara teaches business administration. Thushara is an expert in strategic management, knowledge integration mechanisms and open innovation and has developed skills in research, communication, leadership and project management. During his fellowship in the United States, Thushara hopes to learn about social entrepreneurship and global marketing while also developing his skills in product development, problem-solving, and nonprofit management. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Thushara plans to continue to develop his social enterprise, Dhaaraa, to economically empower women in rural Sri Lanka.
