U Ko Ko, Myanmar, is the chairman of Yangon Media Group and publisher of the Yangon Times. He is closely engaged in the transition now underway in his country's media and developing the capacity for change to meet the new opportunities for free expression. As a leader of Myanmar Writers and Journalists Association, he is also involved in draft a new press law and developing plans to create a national press council.
