Suzana Cardoso, Timor‐Leste, is founder and president of the Timor‐Leste Photojournalists Association. She is serving as director of the Media Trust Fund Foundation, a coalition of media associations that seeks to establish the first Timor‐Leste Press Council to contribute to increasing professional standards of journalism in the country. She was a founder of the Timor Post and correspondent for Japanese news media. She has won awards for investigative journalism and was the elected general secretary of the Center for Investigative Journalism of East Timor.
