Malcolm Joseph is the executive director of the Center for Media Studies and Peace Building, a leading NGO in Liberia that works to strengthen the media and consolidate peace, democracy, human rights and development. A long‐time advocate for free expression, he was one of the architects of the Freedom of Information Law passed last year and he is working now to educate the public and the media on its provisions. A professional journalist earlier in his career, Mr. Joseph has been vice president of the Press Union of Liberia and active with regional and international organizations including the West African Journalist Association and the International Federation of Journalists.
