Madhu Acharya
Madhu Acharya is executive director of the Atenna Foundation, a non‐governmental organization in Nepal dedicated to public service broadcasting. His journalism career began in the mid‐1990s as a news producer for Radio Sagarmatha FM. In 2001, he became senior radio producer for the BBC World Service Trust. He then joined the Antenna Foundation as a production manager and became executive director in 2006. He has covered the impact of the insurgency on Nepal's development and co‐authored a book about the country's community radio movement. He is now a John S. Knight Fellow at Stanford University, working on a webbased content exchange platform connecting radio stations and listeners, including through mobile applications.
