As the President for Cooperativa Luana Semeia Sorrisos- Coluas, Carlos Quembo has experience promoting and protecting the rights of people living with disabilities through research, advocacy and campaigns. Upon returning to Mozambique, Carlos plans to continue fighting for the rights of people living with disabilities, and will conduct evidence-based research to inform policy-making processes regarding the rights of disabled people in Mozambique. Carlos will be placed at the U.S. International Council on Disabilities in Washington, District of Columbia advocating on behalf of the global disability rights agenda.
