As a dentist and community healthcare provider for the Ministry of Health and Population, Mina Zaky has experience raising awareness of women’s rights, working to eliminate violence against women, and improving the overall livelihood of rural women. Upon returning to Egypt, Mina plans to start local initiatives to decrease and eliminate gender-based violence and to raise awareness about women and children’s rights and gender equality. Mina will be working with Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault in St. Paul, Minnesota supporting programs aimed at response and prevention for domestic violence.
