Philip Kwesiga is the Head/ Chair of the Department of Visual Communication Design and Multimedia, School of Industrial and Fine Arts (MTSIFA) in the College of Engineering Design Art and Technology (CEDAT) at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. He oversees administration and finances, supervises staff, advises students, manages outreach and external affairs, is an academic board committee member and serves as school representative to senate. Philip has a Ph.D. in Art and Design Education a Masters in Fine Arts in Industrial Ceramics. His exhibitions have been held in London, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Netherlands, Italy, Cuba, Belgium, and Israel. He came to the US to explore his interest in Academic Department Management.
