Ana Filipovska is the General Secretary at the Country Coordinating Mechanism, a multi-sectorial body that includes institutions that have important roles in delivering key interventions and shaping policy and advocacy in public health. She is responsible for providing technical assistance to its committees, conducting trainings, and overseeing grants supported by the Global Fund. Filipovska also has experience in strengthening Macedonian communities by using social enterprises as resources for the mobilization of social programs. While in the U.S., Filipovska worked at Micro Enterprise Training & Assistance (META) in Boise, Idaho, where she developed the Social Enterprise Hub concept, a project that ensured the sustainability of META and sponsored over 20 programs, which was presented and approved to be implemented by Mountain State Group with an annual operating budget of nearly $14 million. Upon her return from the Community Solutions Program, she worked to establish a center for social enterprise development to reduce unemployment among marginalized populations.
