As the National Administrator of Special Olympics Albania, Eva Zace facilitates year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Zace serves as the liason between Special Olympics Albania and other Special Olympics Programs around the world, providing operational management of the program, including managing donor relations. She has experience in managing small projects and creating public awareness on disability issues using social and traditional media. While in the U.S., Zace worked at Special Olympics D.C., learning how to implement the three components of Project Unify in school systems. She also worked closely with Special Olympics headquarters to adjust this model for the segregated school system in Albania. Upon her return to Albania, she worked to build an inclusive environment among youth with and without intellectual disabilities and to empower them to become leaders in their communities.
