As a Team Leader for The Sophie Muwanika Institute of Art for Change, Rashida Namulondo uses theatre as a tool for community engagement, social emotional learning, and peace building. After returning to Uganda, Rashida plans to increase access to theatre in schools and communities with limited access to creative arts to deepen students' social emotional learning and use theatre as a tool for peace education. Rashida Namulondo is placed at Roundabout Theatre Company in New York, NY, where she will work with students in schools using theatre for engagement, support audience engagement programming, and contribute to a new community conversations pilot project.
