Chaima Amraoui
Chaima supports Youth Mentors across Tunisia as the youth program officer for the Ma3an: For Resilient Communities program. The program aims to increase the capacity of communities to withstand political, social, and economic stresses and shocks in 30 of Tunisia’s most vulnerable communities.
Chaima is a marketing and business analytics graduate working as the youth program officer with the IREX Ma3an team in Tunisia, a project that focuses on developing community resilience within underserved communities.
Early in her career, she spent three years managing sales and business development before shifting to managing public relations with AIESEC, a youth leadership development organization. She was awarded the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship and went to the United States, where she continued working with AIESEC Atlanta for a year while interning at Alliance Française-Atlanta.
Chaima is also CEO and cofounder of Makhla, a social and environmental enterprise that produces handmade backpacks, crafted by southern artisans using dried palm fronds.
