Maguy Helena Servian Irala
As a social entrepreneur for Warany, Maguy Servián has experience in Business design, human rights, and sustainability. During the fellowship, Maguy aims to learn how to improve the quality of her products and streamline the production process. By networking with businesses who work with artisans and who are knowledgeable about marketing and sales, she hopes to form partnerships with those who understand sustainable Business processes and the challenges of working in fair trade. In addition, she hopes to learn new approaches to promoting the brand and its products and how to target just the right market. Upon returning to Paraguay, Maguy plans to launch a project working with communities of artisans. Together, they will purpose to help those in at-risk situations to create innovative products that marry design and craftsmanship. These efforts are intended both to provide profitable activity and to preserve the traditional artisanal techniques used in their processes.
