As the Founder and Director of Allegro Music School, Yoelvis Medero Lunar has experience in operating business, fulfilling administrative tasks, creating music programs and new curricula, teaching flute, voice training, classical guitar, music theory, leading ensemble classes such as choir and guitar ensembles, and musicianship. During the fellowship, Yoelvis aims to learn about finance, operations, and how to use his music school to create a greater social impact in his country. Upon returning to Belize, Yoelvis plans to learn how to create and fund programs such as “instrument loan programs” for students who do not have access to musical instruments to practice on at home after classes. He also plans to create music programs based more on community outreach, offering access to music education to those children who aren’t financially capable of covering music lesson fees. Through this program, Yoelvis plans to equip Allegro Music School to have a greater social impact in Belmopan, Belize.
