As an Editorial Support Consultant at Aheza Healing & Career Center and Volunteer Journalist for Girl Effect Rwanda, Benie Claudette Iriza has experience as a multimedia journalist, mentor, coach, facilitator, and champion of youth with expertise in youth and media brands. For her follow-on project in Rwanda, Benie Claudette plans to create a space for youth to come together to discuss mental health, obtain help, and learn about their potential through games, sketches, songs, poetry, and other creative outlets.

Benie Claudette will be placed at US Together in Columbus, OH to complete a project related to vulnerable populations, women's empowerment, storytelling, and community support groups that promote good mental health.
