Rumbidzai Caroline Marikopo has seven years of experience working on youth development initiatives. As part of the Young Knights team, Marikopo focuses on capacity building for young people with a special focus on youth and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and on empowering young women. She has experience in training, curriculum development, and writing. In addition to her work at Young Knights, she also consults for organizations and individuals carrying out similar programs in Zimbabwe. While in the U.S., Marikopo worked at YWCA Tucson, Arizona, focusing on new ways to support the vulnerable women that her organization serves. Having completed the Community Solutions Program, Marikopo is starting an all-around empowerment initiative for young women and young single mothers, providing them life skills, job skills, and entrepreneurship training.
