As Co-Founder and Director for Girls for Climate Action, Joanita Babirye has experience in research, advocacy, environmental education, and gender inclusion advocacy in climate policies. Joanita plans to train young women and girls in climate policy and advocacy through the girl climate corps program for her follow-on project in Uganda.

Joanita will be placed at Women's Earth Alliance in Berkeley, CA to support the "Women, COVID, and Climate" project throughout Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
