As Programs Director for KuchuTimes Media Group, Ruth Naluwooza Muganzi has experience in project design and management, media use as a tool of advocacy, and community mobilizing. For her follow-on project in Uganda, Ruth plans to implement a project aimed at promoting civic engagement of LGBTQ+ people in Uganda, with the understanding that much of the oppression as sexual minorities is rooted in discriminative political policies that center LGBTQ issues as a political play, not a human rights issue.

Ruth will be placed at Heart Sounds US, Inc. in Marlborough, MA to work on community mobilizing and developing and managing online use of people stories for advocacy.
