Emmy Sjarijono
Emmy Sjarijono has over three years of experience working on anti-trafficking and safe migration projects in Indonesia. As a Project Assistant with the International Organization for Migration, Sjarijono has been actively involved in handling trafficking cases, developing and implementing training for both governmental and non-governmental organizations, developing Education Information and Communication (EIC) materials for populations that are vulnerable to trafficking, and supporting trafficking survivors in reintegrating into society. As a CSP Fellow, Sjarijono worked at YMCA International Services in Houston, Texas, learning best practices in trafficking prevention for women and children, case management, and providing support to trafficking survivors. Now returned to Indonesia, Sjarijono is working to provide sustainable assistance for trafficking survivors and to strengthen the legal enforcement of trafficking cases. As part of her follow-on project, Sjarijono, in collaboration with ECPAT Indonesia, is conducting a project called "Fight against Trafficking in Persons for Students" (FATIPS) that will focus on raising awareness and building capacity for teachers, so as to prevent students from becoming trafficking victims.
