Hina Bukhari
As a Deputy Director for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department, Hina Bukhari has experience in women’s empowerment, ending violence against women, and tackling gender issues. For her follow-on project in Pakistan, Hina Bukhari plans to devise a comprehensive and accessible online system that immediately responds to the needs of women and children who are victims of gender-based violence, advocate with the public sector to improve services of helplines, and revamp crisis centers and rescue centers.
Hina will be placed at Cherokee Family and Violence Center in Canton, GA and hopes to learn good practices for ending violence against women and tools to reduce gender disparity from a diverse perspective.
