As a news editor/presenter at Radio Nepal and a news presenter/producer at Nepal Television – affiliates of the Ministry of Information and Communications – Archana Gurung works on the editing of news and post-production of visual and audio clips including production of news and programs. Gurung is also a women activist working to abolish child marriage in Nepal. While in the U.S., Gurung worked at YWCA of Houston, developing her skills in documentary filmmaking and in organizing grassroots advocacy campaigns. Having completed the Community Solutions Program, Gurung is working to produce a short documentary film on child marriage in Nepal.
