Fernando Aguzzoli
Fernando works in the Health sector leading Aguzzoli & Aguzzoli and is a journalist and writer using storytelling as a powerful resource for generating change in the perception of and behavior towards Alzheimer's disease. Clients (healthcare-companies and non-profit organizations) are looking for inspiration. What makes the work unique is the very personal reason for doing it. As a teenager, Fernando dropped out of college to care for his grandmother, who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He experienced all the challenges of being a family member of a sufferer in Brazil, which has few resources for Alzheimer sufferers and their families, and he decided to dedicate his life to changing the reality of dementia for families in the same situation. Real people are needed who work at a level of emotional truth. Coming to the YLAI Fellowship, Fernando’s top business challenge is Law and Policy.
