Ximena Mills
Ximena Mills is a communications program officer for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program.
In this role, Ximena is committed to highlighting the Fellowship's impact across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada. She manages the Fellowship’s social media presence; develops programmatic and editorial content and manages visual program content development and production. Ximena also assists with curriculum development and event design in collaboration with various partners.
Prior to her work at IREX, she was a social media strategist at the International Republican Institute where she worked with IRI’s Women’s Democracy Network (WDN) team in the media strategy for the campaign “10 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”. This included the creation of the project specifications and time plans, in English and Spanish, to share with multiple and diverse partners in Latin America.
Ximena recently graduated from the WeLead Program from American University, School of Public Affairs, Women & Politics Institute. She graduated top of her class from Keiser University, Latin America Campus, with a bachelor of arts in political science.
