Evoné works in the Arts and Culture sector leading Artribute Performing Arts. Evoné is a theatre practitioner leading a social and creative business focused on merging the performing arts with education. The company’s main service is independently staging the Caribbean Examinations Council’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) English Literature texts as plays for fourth and fifth form students across Jamaica. The plays provide an engaging and creative way of learning, as a contrast to the “chalk and talk” method, which is commonly used in the classroom, by stimulating engagement, activating the imagination, creating memories, and building an understanding leading to an increase in grades. Drama is also used to bring about behavior change. Coming to the YLAI Fellowship, Evoné’s top business challenge is Operations.
