Gemma works in the Education sector, leading Transacctpro in Dominica as a certified French–English translator and French language teacher, providing expert French language services as well as administrative support to the Dominican public. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Gemma’s top business challenge is scaling and expansion. During the host placement, the fellow hopes to learn about strategies related to being an assertive successful female entrepreneur, coping with inflation and increased costs while receiving a fixed or diminishing revenue, and leading a small team.
