As a project innovation coordinator for Handicraft Association of Bhutan, Tshering Choden has experience in local employment, additional livelihood, revival of a dying culture, and reversing the rural-urban migration patterns in the community. For her CSP practicum, Tshering collaborated with National Association of Women Business Owners in Corpus Christi, Texas where she engaged in daily contact with members, researched and provided business related resources to members, attended workshops, sought out speakers, and recruited new participants into programs. For her follow-on project in Bhutan, Tshering plans to estbalish a cooperative of women social entrepreneurs in the green economy, providing them with platform for interaction and networking, as well as with increased bargaining power.
