As a program officer for SOMOSGAY, Sergio Lopez has experience working with LGBTI+ communities and youth-led organizations in mobilization strategies, as well as providing technical assistance. For their CSP practicum, Sergio collaborated with The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center in Milwaukee Wisconsin and assisted with maintaining partnerships, strategic planning, policy development, human resources oversight, fund development, and financial management. For their follow-on project in Paraguay, Sergio plans to organize local action committees to support young people most affected by HIV and discrimination due to their sexual orientation.
