Roberto Malta
Roberto Malta is a program associate for the Student Leadership team at IREX, supporting both the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program and the Global UGRAD-Pakistan program. In this role, Roberto provides program administrative and logistical support, conducts monitoring and evaluation, and coordinates with external program partners.
Roberto is passionate about international exchange and cooperation, international organizations, and history. Before joining IREX, Roberto interned at Rise to Peace, an NGO focusing on promoting a people-centered approach to countering violent extremism, specifically on their Latin America division. Roberto also worked as project assistant at the Continuing and Professional Education office of George Mason University.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Roberto pursued his academic career in the United States, earning a bachelor of arts in global affairs from George Mason University and a master of arts in international affairs from the Elliott School of George Washington University.
