Abigail works in the arts and culture sector as the Manager of Letts Shine. For middle- and upper-class beauty enthusiasts and professionals between twenty and forty-five, Letts Shine is a premier cosmetology school and beauty supply store in Trinidad and Tobago that empowers students and clients by teaching comprehensive makeup skills to help them achieve a range of looks, from simple to professional, and providing information on how to select the best products for each skin type. Abigail’s short-term goal is to open new outlets in two Caribbean countries. Their long-term vision is for Letts Shine to become the leading supplier of premium beauty brands and a hub for learning about the beauty business. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Abigail’s top business challenge is Finance. More specifically, they want to secure finance for scaling and expansion. During the Fellowship Placement, Abigail hopes to foster meaningful connections with other entrepreneurs in the beauty industry, learn how they have overcome similar challenges, and collaborate on projects that align with their cosmetology skills.
